This indoor arena has a capacity for 2,200 people, featuring a floating parquet floor with dimensions of 44×26 meters. Inaugurated on August 10, 1980, it underwent a complete renovation in the summer of 2006. The facilities include 6 collective changing rooms and 2 individual ones, a press room, an anti-doping room, an infirmary room, a VIP lounge, and two multipurpose rooms, along with modern facilities adapted to events of any level.
The Fernando Argüelles sports center has become a reference in recent years for hosting national and international events such as the Handball King’s Cups in 2010 and 2022, the Futsal King’s Cups in 2012 and 2023, the Futsal Super Cup in 2017, as well as numerous international qualifying matches for national handball teams.
